Working with me

I offer relational Gestalt psychotherapy either in person at my York practice or online across the UK. My way of working is empowering, collaborative, and rooted in authentic present-moment connection. This means we pay attention not only to what you bring, but what happens between us in the room, and what this might reveal about how you relate to yourself and others.

My Approach

Gestalt therapy focuses on awareness, relationship and growth. In our sessions, we explore your here and now experience - thoughts, feelings, body sensations, and the patterns that shape your life.

Rather than trying to fix or eliminate parts of you, we become curious about them together. Over time, this can support greater clarity, emotional honesty, and a more authentic relationship with yourself and others.

Therapy can become a space where new ways of being can be discovered through awareness and relationship.

Who I Work With

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, self-aware individuals. They may appear to be coping on the outside, but feel disconnected, stuck, or unfulfilled beneath the surface.

They are often people who are used to functioning, achieving, and holding things together, yet find themselves quietly questioning their relationships, direction, or sense of self.

They may be experiencing:

  • recurring patterns in relationships

  • perfectionism or self-criticism

  • anxiety, low mood, or emotional overwhelm

  • grief or significant life transitions

  • a sense of disconnection or loss of meaning

  • a deeper longing for authenticity, depth, or aliveness

  • a need to be seen, heard and witnessed - exactly as they are

Many are also curious about life’s deeper questions, and may sense there is more to life than simply getting through the day.

Is This Right for You?

Therapy can be a powerful space for self-discovery and change, but it also asks something of you - commitment and engagement with the process, even when it feels uncertain or difficult.
